Job Summery
Essential Duties:
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients’ information and histories.
- Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, and other specialized medical care.
- Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members.
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and progress.
- Directing, coordinating, consulting with, and referring patients to nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical stuff.
- Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Conducting research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and devel on the field.
- Manage the department
Job Requirement
Required Qualification:
- Medical Doctorate degree with successful completion of postgraduate studies in pediatrics and Child health
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a private or government hospital
- Valid license to practice Pediatric and Child Health in Ethiopia.
Preferable Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in public health
- Prior Management experience in a hospital set up
Kowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate to children
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with a high degree of autonomy.
- Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with individuals at all levels within the hospital.
- A caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families.
