Job Requirement
- An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in economics, finance, public health, information technology, or related fields; or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in supporting the design, implementation , or advising on digital payment systems or solutions in developing countries.
Required skills:
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the design, advisory support, or implementation of government digital payments initiatives, including hands-on engagement with public-sector stakeholders and payment system actors;
- Experience supporting or contributing to national-level payment digitization initiatives in developing countries as evidenced through advocacy & advisory roles, technical assistance, or program support.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required;
- Knowledge of Amharic or other local languages e.g. Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, Afar is an asset.

Required skills:

- Proven experience in leading or managing multi-disciplinary teams, with responsibility for strategic direction, quality assurance, and achievement of results in governance and peacebuilding programmes.
