Job Responsibilities
Based on the new Ethiopian Educational Curriculum for Grade 7-12, the Subject Specialist shall prepare:
- Learning outcomes based on Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor domains of learning;
- Notes with explanatory examples or demonstrations for each topic;
- Summary notes at the end of each chapter;
- The necessary competency-based assessments such as quizzes, model exams with detailed answer descriptions; and
- Design illustrative diagrams and layouts that can inspire learners.
Job Requirement
Qualification:
- Masters or Bachelor Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Civics, Geography, Amharic, Art and English from a recognized institution with very good command of English language.
Required experience:
- Five years and above proven working experience as a teacher on the specific subject matter starting from Grade 7- 12.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing teaching materials.
- Need extensive conceptual and contextual knowledge on the specific subject matter and teaching methodology.
- Need the highest standards of work, conduct, honesty and integrity appropriate in carrying out his/her duties and responsibilities.
