Job Summary
- The Manager, Financial Services will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department and directly report to the General Manager of the Medical center.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leads the Accounting & Finance Department as a Manager of the Company.
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards of the country.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; and let the annual financial audits be performed on time through the selected external auditor.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with the federal revenue and customs authority (ERCA) regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Make sure the monthly reports for income tax, pension, withholding tax purchase and other relevant taxes are reported online monthly using the eTax and TASS system and the appropriate monthly fees are made accordingly.
- Ensures compliance with the government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, proficient in accounting and tax preparation software (i.e Peachtree mainly), Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Job Requirement
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Experience: 5 years or more experience as a Finance Head/ Manager or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience as a Head, Financial Services or Head General Accounts.
