Qualifications and Responsibilities
- BA degree in accounting with two years and above work experience OR Diploma in Accounting with more than five years work experience in NGO as a head Accountant.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and financial analysis.
- Check and authorize periodic financial reports to donors, government and other entities in respect to both contractual and legal requirements;
- NGO/CSO’s work experience with effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ensures that financial systems and documents are in compliance with laws, policies, standards and regulations and with international accounting principles and practices;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, including experience with tax preparation, filing and refund.
