Job Summary

The finance officer will play a key role in overseeing the financial management of the organization, with a focus on managing USAID grants. The Senior Finance officer will work closely with the leadership team to ensure compliance with financial regulations, effective budgeting, and timely reporting.

Job Requirement

Preferred Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial management, with a focus on USAID grants.
  • Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations.
  • Proven experience in budget development, monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of nonprofit financial management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial management software.
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in English language

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall financial operations of the organization.
  • Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with USAID regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate budgeting for project proposals.
  • Coordinate audits and ensure timely submission of required documents.
