Job Requirement
- Educational Qualification; Diploma or First Degree in Hotel Management, Sales and Marketing, Office Management or related fields.
- Work Experience; Minimum of 2 years for Diploma and 1 year for degree as apartment or Hotel receptionist.
Competency Required:
- Strong Communication Skill: Receptionists being always in contact with customers, a good communication skill at least in English and Amharic would be mandatory (verbal and written) and masters in the art of nonverbal communication.
- Dependability & Reliability: No accommodation provider or apartment can afford to have phone calls unanswered or leave guests unattended at the counter even for a minute.
- Organization: The reception area is often the neatest & well-organized place and so it should be.
- Technical receptionist skills: Should handle all forms of guest communication from a hardware and software point of view, social platforms, check-in technologies property management…etc
- Resistance to stress: Receptionist sometime can work under great pressure, as they have to handle several tasks and variety of visitors at the same time.
- Ability to work independently, Multitasking, good interpersonal relationship, Empathy and Good customer management skills are required.
