Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or Finance or master’s degree.
Work Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for BA holders and 3 years for Master holders.
  • Proven and progress if experience in financial management of different donors in NGO setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing rapid/emergency response projects and USG gov’t and European grants i: e, ECHO, Irish Aid, FCDO etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing partners under consortium projects will be an advantage.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written and verbal skills in the English language
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Initiative-taking, energetic, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Proactive to seek to identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions to the level of management appropriate to effect solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data including large financial data extracts, summarize results, produce reports, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to use computer and Microsoft applications especially good knowledge of excel.
  • Partnership communication and management knowledge and skills
  • Committed to staff and partner’s training and development.
Language Skills:  
  • Strong written/spoken English is a requirement and Ethiopian National working languages is a plus.
