Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, monitoring progress and reporting of the project activities as described in the project document.
- Properly managing budget allocated for project activities and running the project office.
- Make sure that budget utilization comply with finance rules & donor requirements.
- Communicating with stakeholders in the project area and ensuring their active engagement in project implementation where needed.
- Mobilize target community for active engagement in project implementation.
- Provide leadership support for & supervise project staff Collaborate with other similar projects.
- Coordinate & lead documentation & communication of best practices.
- Ensure planned project activities are undertaken at reasonable standard and quality.
- Prepare manuals / materials & provide trainings for target groups.
- Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly, quarter and annual plan & reports.
Job Requirement
- Holding BSc Degree in the areas of Sociology, Education, Gender, Health, Environmental science, Environmental management, project management or any other related fields from a recognized University.
- Having a comprehensive understanding of PHE integration.
- Five years of experience out of which at least 3 years should be relevant experience in project management, coordination, and community mobilization.
- Having skills in the use of computer-word processing, Excel, power point.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and quality report writing skill.
- Good interpersonal skill and ability to work in team and independently including at times in challenging environment as well as having a coordination and team building ability.
- Knowledge of the local language (Oromia)
- Experience in NGOs is an asset
